Silence enhanced by the crickets song
Reminds of a love
that my heart would prolong

Warm summer rain soaking
clothing and skin
Reminds of the places
together we’ve been

Darkness broken only
by the glow of fireflies
Reveals what I’ve hidden
but my broken heart belies
