The Spider

Like a trap door spider
She weaves a subtle web
Draws you in beside her
Venom causing strength to ebb

Ravenous she drains you
Leaves a fragile shell behind
Inside a soul she never knew
Waiting for her to never find

Spider in Silk

The web emerges from deep within
Silken strands of magic words
With sweet surprise she draws you in
Hold you captive with her verbal cords

She clothes herself in silken garb
Naked behind her flowing dress
Her words a hook with a golden barb
Cause the souls of the innocent to confess
